About the entry
We have put together a team from all over the east coast that came to Maine because they are passionate about cannabis. We have all been consuming on a daily basis since we were teenagers and witnessed the quality peak and drop off in the last 5 years. It has always been our mission to find and grow those crazy strains we all remember smoking 10-20 years ago. We have spent the last 6 years learning what works and more importantly, what doesn't. The biggest lesson is that the plants just want consistency. We strive every day to give the plants just that. Never a bad day from the time the seeds are popped, until the product is packaged for sale. Quality over quantity, forever.
About the grower
The owners of Halcyon Farms moved from Charleston, South Carolina to Hampden, Maine in 2016 to live out their dream of providing consumers with the finest craft cannabis and craft cannabis products on the market. The indoor cultivation space is a repurposed airplane hangar located on 70 acres. There are two greenhouses that provide the sungrown rosin crop, with plans to expand in the future.
Matthew and Laura are firm believers in self-sustaining and use the family farm to teach their 3 daughters valuable life lessons and skills. Aside from cannabis cultivation, the farm also has pigs, a vegetable garden, bees (for locally sourced infused honey,) and plans to add a consumption/venue space in the near future.
